Michael Matthews maintains a general civil litigation practice with an efficient approach to cases that is shaped by his diverse experience. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Matthews served as law clerk to the Honorable Thad Heartfield, Chief United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Texas. He also worked as associate general counsel for a large industrial manufacturer, representing the company in lawsuits and mediations, managing litigation with outside counsel, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts.
