Donald Hightower maintains a general civil litigation practice, with a focus on commercial litigation, including business torts and contract, insurance and financial services litigation.  Donald has experience defending personal injury and insurance liability claims in state and federal courts throughout Texas, and in states including Arkansas, California, Florida, and Nebraska.
Don was a member of the South Texas College of Law’s nationally recognized advocacy program, competing across the country on both the varsity moot court and mock trial teams. After law school, Don was the briefing attorney to Justice Jeffrey V. Brown of the Fourteenth Court of Appeals (Texas).
Before attending law school, Don spent eleven years managing professional arts organizations in Ohio and Texas. During this time, Don acquired valuable experience working with numerous collective bargaining groups affiliated with the performing arts. These experiences involved negotiating compensation and working conditions within collective bargaining agreements. In 2000, Don managed all logistics related to leading a major American orchestra on a ten-day European tour.
Outside the office, Don is married and has two children. Don is a volunteer Division Coordinator for the Spring/Klein League of Fun Fair Positive Soccer where he also coaches teams for each of his children. In his spare time, Don enjoys baseball, Italian soccer and wine.

Represents numerous life insurers in first-party litigation matters throughout Texas and around the country. 
Represents insurance company defendants in purported class actions and individual cases involving Sections 412(i) and 419 of the Internal Revenue Code. 
Represents numerous property and casualty insurers in third-party claims.
