At their core—and like any good business transaction—legal fees represent an honest, straightforward exchange of value between two parties. EMH was founded on the belief that outstanding legal counsel can be provided cost effectively and at reasonable rates. With our lean staffing model and low overhead, more of your legal budget goes directly toward protecting your business.
We also recognize that clients need both fiscal predictability and the flexibility to address unexpected disputes when and where they arise. To that end, we work with our clients to provide early case assessments and litigation budgets so that our clients can make informed business decisions regarding litigation costs from the outset of each matter.
To better align our efforts with client objectives, we also offer a range of traditional and creative fee options, including hourly rates, volume discounts, and capped/fixed-fee arrangements, as well as contingent-fee, tiered, or mixed-fee arrangements, when appropriate. We have found that it is usually best to discuss such alternative-fee arrangements on a case-by-case basis, as each engagement must be analyzed individually to determine what is in the client's best interests.
